Our Founders – Sri. J. Parthasarathy Iyengar and Sri. V. Sundra Raja Naidu

Founded on the unique vision of Indian cultural heritage, Sanatana Dharma College stands high in the higher education sector of Kerala. S.D. College, with its excellent track record in academic and co-curricular activities, is re-accredited with A Grade in 2011 bv National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NACC). The College, at present, is well equipped to brave the contemporary challenges of modern education.
S.D College has enlightened many generations of students, imparting value based quality education. Started as Sanatana Dharma Vidva Sala, the College has traversed a long way to reach its ,Sapthathi, this year.
20 June is observed as Founders’ Day every year to salute die founding fathers of the College who have been our guiding spirits. On this occasion, the Managing committee has immense pleasure and pride in soliciting your esteemed presence and participation in the bounders’ Day Celebrations to be held at the Golden ‘Jubilee Auditorium on 20 June 2016.
Padmasree Prof. (Dr.) N.R. Madhava Menon, an alumnus of S.U College, has kindly consented to inaugurate the celebrations.

N R Madhava Menon SD College

Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon did his B.Sc Zoology in S D College, Alappuzha. Dr Menon was founder and Vice-Chancellor of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore National University of Judicial Sciences (NUJS) Kolkatta, Prof. Madhava Menon was given the assignment of starting The National Judicial Academy (NJA) by the Honourable Supreme Court, On his retirement from NJA as its founder director, Prof. Menon held very responsible key positions to the Go India. He was a member of the Committee on Restructuring of Higher Education in India (2009) elected Chairman of the Commonwealth Legal Education Association between 1997-2001. Approved by the President of India, Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon is presently the Chancellor of two Central Universities- the Guru Ghasdas Central University Chhattisgarh and the National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA)
Dr. Menon is honoured with several awards by Government and Professional bodies. He was awarded PADMASREE, the Highest Civilian Award by the Govt. of India for outstanding public services in 2003.
He has authored over a dozen books on legal and judicial studies.
