Dear Students,
As part of the Semester 5 curriculum, each student is required to complete an Open Course offered by a department other than their home department, in order to meet the requirements of the Undergraduate Program of the University of Kerala.
The syllabus for the various Open Courses can be accessed by clicking the Open Course Syllabus button. Students are advised to read the syllabus carefully and, based on their interest, submit their course preferences through the Open Course Allotment button.
Course allocation will be based on student rankings, determined in the following order: Semester 3 marks, Semester 2 marks, Semester 1 marks, and Plus Two marks.
An Orientation Programme is scheduled on 14/08/2025 to familiarize students with the available Open Courses. Students are expected to review the syllabus thoroughly before attending the orientation programme.
Students must select course preferences only from departments other than their parent department.
Accordingly, students should not include the course offered by their own department in their preferences.
From the list provided, each student must indicate 13 preferences in order of priority.
