The Post Graduate Department of Chemistry & Research Centre, Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha, organised a one-day practical workshop on Skill Enhancement and Elective Courses on Friday, 9 October 2026, in association with the Rasanthanthra Club.
The workshop was specially designed for FYUGP Chemistry students and faculty, providing hands-on practical exposure in alignment with the Kerala University FYUGP curriculum. The sessions covered two courses: Industrial Chemistry and Water Analysis (UK5DSECHE307) and Preparation and Formulation of Herbal Products (UK5SECCHE301).
The programme aimed to enhance students’ practical skills, strengthen their understanding of industrial and applied chemistry, and familiarise them with water analysis techniques and herbal product formulation. The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Manjumol K. A., Head of the Department of Chemistry, with the support of the faculty coordinators, programme committee members and student demonstrators from the Departments of Chemistry, Botany and Microbiology.
The workshop was conducted as part of the department’s commitment to experiential learning, skill development and the effective implementation of the FYUGP curriculum. The initiative also received support under the DBT STAR Programme.
