The Social Justice Department of the Government of Kerala, in collaboration with Social Justice Cell & P. G. Department of Zoology & Research Center, Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha organised a training programme for students on 07/08/2024. Venue of the training was Smart Classroom (Room No 2) of the Zoology Department. Dr. Bindu P, Assistant Professor and Co-ordinator, Social Justice Cell, Sanatana Dharma College gave a brief introduction about the activities of the cell and also welcomed everyone to the training programme. Prof. Dr. G. Nagendra Prabhu, Head of the Department of Zoology presided over the session. Prof. Dr. K. H. Prema, Principal, Sanatana Dharma College inaugurated the training session. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Vidya V, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology. Ms. Anila L Kumar and Ms. Reshmi D, Orphanage Control Board Counsellors of the Social Justice Department of the Government of Kerala briefed about the aims and goals of Social Justice Cell. Suneethi portal of the Social Justice Department was introduced to the students. They were given awareness on the various schemes and scholarships that could be availed by the students of selected categories. Ms. Rakhi K. R, project officer, DHMP, Alappuzha handled a session on “Mental health problems among adolescents”. The session concluded after interaction of the students with the resource persons. Students provided their feedback as well as thanked the resource persons.
