Mrs. Raji R. Krishnan successfully defended her thesis

Mrs. Raji R. Krishnan from the Chemistry Department, doing research work under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Prema K. H,Principal, S. D. College, successfully defended her thesis on July 26, 2024, at the Department of Chemistry, University of Kerala, Kariavattom Campus, Trivandrum. The thesis is titled “Extended Sol-Gel method towards green assisted synthesis of nanometals, ferrites, and functionalized nanosystems for catalytic and biomedical applications.” Dr. Kothandaraman R., Professor and Chair of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, served as the chairman of the open defense, with Prof. (Dr.) Prema K. H, acting as the convenor.
Raji R Krishnan was awarded an Indian patent for the synthesis of metal nanoparticles. This is the first Indian patent awarded to SD College. Moreover, she has published 10 articles in Scopus-indexed journals and has presented papers at several national and international conferences.
