Chemistry Lab Manual Released at S. D. College, Alappuzha

The Post Graduate Department of Chemistry & Research Centre, Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha, organised the formal release of the Chemistry Lab Manual on 8 October 2026 at the Department Seminar Hall.

The programme began with a prayer by Pavithra M. Sinu, S3 FYUGP Chemistry student. Dr. Vaisakh S. S., Assistant Professor, delivered the welcome address, followed by the presidential address by Dr. Manjumol K. A., Head of the Department of Chemistry. Sri P. Krishna Kumar, Manager, S. D. College, formally released the publication.

The occasion was graced by Prof. (Dr.) V. R. Prabhakaran Nair, Principal In-charge; Dr. Jose Mathew, Coordinator of the DBT Star Scheme and Assistant Professor of Botany; Dr. C. Krishna Kumar, Former Head of the Department; Dr. R. Chandrasekharan Nair, Former Principal and Head of the Department; and Prof. (Dr.) P. S. Parameswaran, Former Head of the Department.

Authored by Dr. Rajesh R. and Dr. Manjumol K. A., the Chemistry Lab Manual focuses particularly on water analysis and herbal formulations. The publication aims to help students understand experimental procedures, prepare systematically for practical sessions, and connect theoretical concepts with laboratory applications.

The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to strengthening practical chemistry education and providing students with useful academic resources. Dr. Rajesh R., Assistant Professor on Contract, delivered the vote of thanks.
