Ms. Lakshmi S is Assistant Professor in the Post Graduate and Research Department of English, Sanatana Dharma College Alappuzha, Kerala since November 2021. She did her Masters (MA & M Phil) in English Language and Literature in Madras Christian College. Presently she is pursuing her PhD in the Department of English, Madras Christian College and the thesis is due for submission. The topic of her research is ‘Reading Adivasi Discourse through Ecocritical Lens: An Appraisal of Literature and Films By and On Paniyas and Adiyas’. She has published papers in both reputed national and international journals on topics related to her research domain. Lakshmi's areas of specialization include Critical Theory, Ecocriticism, Theatre Studies, Tribal Studies and Indian Literature in English and in Translation. For a year she worked as Guest Faculty in the Department of English, Mar Ivanios College, Trivandrum.
Has Registered for the Ph. D Programme at the University of Madras on Tribal Knowledge Systems and Ecocritical Discourse in December 2017
