Dr. Prabhakaran Nair V.R. is Professor in the Department of Economics, Sanatana Dharma College. His research areas include Development Studies, Money and Banking and Rural Development etc. He was awarded the prestigious Research Award of UGC in 2012 to undertake Postdoctoral studies. He was granted the Research Associateship, Indian Institute of Advanced Studies (IIAS), Shimla. He is the author of many research publications including book, book chapters, journal articles etc. He is an approved research guide in Economics affiliated with the University of Kerala.
