Dr. Vishnu Sreevalsan is Assistant Professor at the Department of History and Politics, S.D. College. He joined the Department in 2021 with prior experience as Assistant Professor (on Contract) in M.G. College, Thiruvananthapuram. He is passionate about investigating the hitherto unexplored arenas of Travancore History. He has a Doctoral Degree in History from the University of Kerala and possesses two Masters Degrees - in History and Archaeology - from the University of Kerala. His chief research interests include legal/judicial history, pre- history and historicity in literature. Dr. Vishnu Sreevalsan has published a book titled A Historical Insight on the Evolution of the Legal Apparatus in Travancore (Ashish Books, 2021). He also has several publications in refereed/peer reviewed international journals and conference presentations to his credit.
