Two-day seminar on Linear Algebra

Overview:
The Department of Mathematics conducted a two-day seminar on “Linear Algebra “.This seminar aims to delve into both the foundational principles and advanced topics of linear algebra, providing an enriching experience for students, educators, and professionals in mathematical fields.

Objective:
The seminar’s primary goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of linear algebra’s fundamental concepts and its wide-ranging applications. Through interactive sessions and discussions led by experts, participants will explore theoretical perspectives and practical applications of linear algebra across various domains, including computer science, physics, engineering, and economics.

  • Dates: 25/09/24 and 29/09/24
  • Venue: KPIGJ Auditorium
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM on both days

    • Session 1
    • Inaugral Function
    • Session 2: : Basics of Linear Algebra
      Covering vector spaces, matrices, determinants, and linear transformations. Emphasis on understanding key concepts and their mathematical structures.
    • From Matrices to Linear Transformations.
    • Session 2
    • Geometry Of Linear Transformation

 

  1. Day 2
    • Session 3:
    • Stochastic Matrices and Applications.
    • Session 4:
    • Matrix Factorisation and Applications.
    • Session 5:
    • Problem solving Techniques
