Ms. Karthika R. is Assistant Professor at the Post Graduate Department of English and Research Centre, Sanatana Dharma College. She has 12 years of teaching experience at the institution, apart from prior experience as Part-Time Instructor in Communication Skills at Baselius College, Kottayam. She holds a Masters Degree in English from Mahatma Gandhi University and is currently pursuing Ph.D. at the University of Kerala. Her research work focusses on Railway & Nationalism Studies. Publications in national and international research journals, contribution as editor of books,conference presentations and funded projects testify to her research experience. Ms. Karthika R. coordinated the Virtual International Conference on “Gender Studies post 1990: Technological Encounters and Narratives of Empowerment” organized by the Post Graduate Department of English in association with the “Beti Bachao Abhiyaan,” Shivaji University, Kolhapur, in February 2021. She has held academic and administrative positions in her career at S.D. College – as Internal Mentor under the Scholar Support Programme, as the Founder-Coordinator of Civil Service Club,as the Staff Editor of News Letters published by BA Communicative English students & as the Additional Chief Superintendent of University Examinations, S.D. College.
